OnStage, Salt Lake City, My Experience
OnStage is a Stampin’Up!® event that happens twice each year. “Love It, Live It, Share It” was the theme.
You could call it a Convention; but, it’s so much more. About 2,700 crafty Demonstrators, mostly women, showed up to hear about new products, what the company is doing, and to see and hear from Sara Douglass, the CEO of Stampin’Up!®, and Shelli Gardner, the Co-Founder of Stampin’Up!®.
My First Why — There are lots of companies that claim to be good to their customers, but Stampin’Up!® takes it to the next level. I wanted to feel the energy of a room filled with creative entrepreneurs. OnStage did not disappoint. I got to meet Sara Douglass! Her light and energy is even brighter in person than it is on stage. She was so warm, welcoming, and gracious. That energy and warmth also extended to other corporate presenters as well.
My Second Why — I visited the Home Office. The displays, the people, the atrium in the building — amazing. We had an opportunity to walk through and meet a number of the people who work in the Home Office. Wow! Desks with hand-made cards, a wonderful display of projects, an amazing distribution center. The message this year is “Live It, Love It, Share It.” And, everything about Stampin’Up!® says just that.
My Third Why — Before OnStage started, we waited outside the doors to the Main Stage Entrance. The doors opened and we were greeted by rows of employees of Stampin’Up!®, clapping, jumping up and down, and welcoming each and every one of us. The energy was better than energy shots or Vitamin B. The day before, at the Home Office, I got to speak with one young man who told me about how excited he was to participate in this event and how much he looked forward to seeing the happy and excited Demonstrators.
My Fourth Why — Product, quality, innovation. Stampin’Up!® actually listens to their customers and Demonstrators. They look at trends in crafting, current colors, and fun ideas. There is nothing “ho hum” about Stampin’Up!®. Exceptional quality! Everything you need to create cards and paper crafted items that look clean and finished, even if you have no artistic ability. And, Finally, My Fifth Why — In this world, we are faced with challenges and people who are “not so nice.” Stampin’Up!® attracts some amazing people from around the world. My face was frozen in a Happy Smile. OK, it’s true we did have to leave and return to the real world. But, for four days, I got to spend time with happy, creative, and dynamic people. Women from Australia, Georgia, Wyoming, Arkansas, Hawaii, and more. For some of the people, this is a side business. For some, it’s a hobby. And, for some of the people, it’s a career and full-time business.
The energy will certainly keep me going for months. I’m in Love. Check out some of the cards in my past blogs. If you’d like to join me on this amazing Journey as a customer, a hobbyist, or as a Demonstrator, please contact me and think about joining my team. When I joined, I just wanted to have a creative outlet and experience OnStage.
The next opportunity to experience OnStage will be in April. Come join the fun.
