Lovely Wishes Painted with Love
February is the month of love, valentines, and red hearts. Keeping that in mind, the Painted with Love Designer Series Paper is a perfect background for the stamp set Lovely Wishes.
The setup of this card was based on a sketch challenge. The basic shapes were part of the challenge as were the wisps of thread. The curve of tulip and leaf were a perfect fit for the white circle. I chose Stampin’ Blends Markers to color in the flower and leaf. Because the Stampin’ Blends Markers are alcohol based markers. it’s important to use Memento or Archival Ink. This will keep the black ink from bleeding into the color.
Note that both paper patterns are two sides of one sheet of Designer Paper. One of the benefits of using Stampin’Up!® products is that the colors work well together. For this card, I have used coordinating card stock.
At the base of the leaf, you will note that the gold thread is held in place with a pearl. I have used the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Marker to color the pearl.
The background card base is Rich Razzleberry card stock. I have placed a piece of Whisper White card stock inside for a personal note.
I chose to leave the card blank without a printed sentiment.
